Ive had quite a ridiculous busy week, not that i`m complaining mind, but the last thing i needed was a distraction. By that i mean this blog. I tried to argue with myself that, I needed to get this sorted, up, running and out of the way. because this was big i mean really big! You know that Gordon Brown Fella. Well not as Big as that, but big and i needed to tell you and you, but not you! , but to be brutally honest it would have been a pain in the (certain body part that i won`t mention here!!) To do so, with such a heavy work load, at least.

And so, after two weeks of not telling you lets get it over with!

It all started a few months ago......

It was Tuesday afternoon, probably? I was relaxing, again probably? Ok! Ok! as you can tell i can`t remember much about this bit, so im pretty much going to make this bit up.

It was a black day, rain splashed against the windows, the wind howeld like an injured dog. actually it could of been a dog? Then suddenly!!!! I received an E-Mail...... What was you expecting? A Terminator? (By the by, i`m not making this up anymore!)

Every Day i get bombarded by E-Mails, usually job enquiries, and this was no different.
However, may this be a job enquiry, but it was no ordinary job enquiry. No this was very different! Very different indeed. I was offered to draw Caricatures, in St Georges Hall. Not so exciting is it, but wait there`s more. I would be drawing the Caricatures during the reception of a variety show. Still not exciting, enough? Well! It said after i have finished work, and the show starts i could watch it. Oh it gets better! And after that i could attend the wrap party. Oh I`m still not to the good part yet! It also said that the event will be attended by some celebrities, who will also be attending the wrap party... Right thats it i`m there, i said to myself

Anyway shortly after we arrived, so did Bar Wizards from Britons Got Talent, besides me being ticked off! it was cool seeing theses two warm up.

Can`t help thinking this is making me thirsty!

And Here`s my caricature of them!!

Eventually I did start work in the reception area. Didn`t do much, a few at best

These two were in the reception area, they were musicians, playing for the guests.

It opened with the dance act, MD Productions!

This thing was awsome. The show had Dancers, Singers, Comedians, Magicians and even pop song singing pirate. yeah you read that right. This guy was basically singing songs such as.... Rhianna`s Umbarella. but with a pirate twist to it.... Find a Piece of my treasure esurer esuer eh eh eh! and stuff like that!

As i was saying The show had Dancers, Singers, Comedians and Magicians, some famous for being on shows shuch as Britons got talent, X Factor and BBCs last choir standing. and others not so famous!

so during the interval, i was invited to green room. to present the caricatures to Gemma Atkinson and Strike. Well needless to say they loved it.

So on with the show.

So the show now over. It was on to the Wrap party.

but on the way out i met up with X factors Austin Drage.

Well that’s it just the wrap party, My girlfriend and I got drunk and danced the night away! Hugged some random strangers… well she did, then randomly walked around Liverpool before stumbling up the steps of her flat……

Well with all the excitement of the recent UK Caricature get together, still ringing in my ears.
(no wait that's the phone. sorry I'll be right back..... Hello......What?.....No....i don't want a one legged monkey eating a banana......I don't care how cheap it is...... NO!.....

Anyway where was I. Ah yeah the caricature get together. well first i better explain to those of you, that are not in the know. what exactly I'm blabbering on about! well basically i was up in London this weekend with err about 30 or so other caricaturist and we draw each other and get drunk....yeah that's about it...OK OK its allot better than it sounds! trust me.

Lets go into it in a bit more detail. Within this dimension time simply does not exists. sentences don't have to make sense and if someone insults you its a complement. maybe?....

So as the draw feast continues in to the.
(well i would say the night, but seeing as i said that time doesn't exists here, that wouldn't make much sense. but then again neither do sentences?...)
night. the group dwindles, as so many fall to there feet and crawl of to bed, but the few who remain. Persevere and draw drink and have some surreal conversations. yes Craig I'm talking about you!.. anyway it was a lot of fun and here are some pics i drew....

Told ya Id be back, and do i have news for you and you. the other month i was commissioned to do a group caricature for, well if you haven't figured that out by now, you must of been dropped on your head when you were a kid, then the lump which formed over the years must of been beaten repeatedly with a tennis's racket......

We recently commissioned Adam to produce a caricature of the cast and crew of a radio drama that we've recently completed for Radio 4 called 'The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists'. Adam has produced a fantastic group caricature of over 30 actors and actresses, including well known names such as Timothy Spall, Bill Bailey, Paul Whitehouse, Shirley Henderson and John Prescott MP. All work was completed from photographs that we supplied. We would not hesitate to use Adam's services again, and would highly recommend him for private commissions, weddings and corporate events. Ok ok so were a few days in,
Happy New Year folks, but i always wonder whats so happy about it.
I mean sure theres one helluva party the day before where you drink your self into oblivion,
but then theres the day after, you stagger down stairs. (Well that is if you made it up stairs in the first place.) You see the mass of destruction left in the wake. (Well thru the haze of what you used to call your vision.) and if you made it this far with out falling over or passing out, you realise the massive dept you gotten your self in over Christmas, then it just get worse, until you realise its December 31st 2008, and you do it all over again.
Oh well sorry to bring you all down, but i think you've realised this by now anyway.

I particularly hate New Year, cos i continualy sign last years date all the way thru January.

you know this was a weird gig first when i showed up to the gig, trying to get in the place was like trying to get it to a highly secure bank, oh wait it was in a highly secure bank. (Well I said it was weird.) Then i met Laurel and Hardy yes i kno their dead weird huh. Ricky Gervais was there as well! Then the gig started we went from call center room to call center room spent about 15mins in each one. Then got on a bus to another building. you know cos this gig was on January 2nd i think it was a drink endorsed hallucination. but i cant explain where the photos came from.

ok ok so Ricky, Laurel and Hardy were Impersonators, it still was a weird day.

Apologies for the lack of posts. again! but I've been kinda busy lately, you know drawing caricatures and what not. as it is my job!!! what do you ppl think i do all day!!! you know my job isn't to sit and type this blog to you ppl all day. besides its not like any of you read it anyway!

You know what i think I`ll start with something that make you all jealous,just because I can.

Game Review: Legend of Zelda

A New Legend is Born.
When an evil darkness enshrouds the land of Hyrule, a young farm boy named Link must awaken the hero “blah blah blah! but is it any good?”
Well first off let me tell you the Features
Arm Link: The Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are used for a variety of game activities from fishing to projectile-weapon aiming. The game features incredibly precise aiming control using the Wii Remote controller. Use the controllers for sword swings, spin attacks and shield shoves.
Thrilling Adventure: Players ride into battle against troops of foul creatures and wield a sword and shield with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, then take on massive bosses that must be seen to be believed.
Mind & Muscle: Many puzzles stand between Link and the fulfillment of his quest, so players must sharpen their wits as they hunt for weapons and items.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has seen a whole lotta drama over the course of its development. It was originally to be released soulfully for the Nintendo GameCube, but it has since been turned into Wii's flagship title “again not Mario.” but anyway the important thing is does Twilight Princess have what it takes to be the Best Zelda Ever? Well, I can only answer that question once if finished the game. But up till now it’s a yes
Twilight Princess' is very emissive game one you get into it. the control scheme is very simple and easy to learn, at the very beging of the game it introduced the control gradually until your sword wielding slashing arrow launching killing machine!!!
Its unbelievable the amount of fun the Wii mote makes this game, not that im saying it would be boring with out it. It has other great qualities pulled from older Zelda titles and some new stuff made up for this game.
Basically to make a long story short this is certainly a must have game for any Zelda fans or anyone who has the Nintendo Wii. Ill properly give a more in depth review upon completion!!!
Also was inspired from the great graphics and character design from this game iv drawn a few pics to go with… enjoy.

Ok sorry I haven’t posted anything last week. Been to busy starting and finishing a commission for the Bond Hotel in Blackpool. Which I’ve previously done a calendar for last year. Basically what they wanted was a “so long good bye hope to see you again.” card. To give to his customersas they leave with some vouchers.

This was first one I finished within 3 days of getting the job. this was unused
because they didn’t like it so another must be done with in 2 days to meet the deadline.

WELCOME ...and first off thanks for visiting my blog! Secondly hello! My name is Adam Hanson or as most people call me. “guy who draws funny pictures!“ I’m a self-taught cartoonist who's always had a passion for drawing . I’ve been a freelance caricature artist and illustrator for just over 4 years. With in that shot time I,ve produced hundreds and hundreds of stuff from rough sketches to calendars. The purpose of this blog is to show sketches, caricatures, works-in-progress and will showcase not only new stuff but will showcase many of my older drawings as well, also I will be posting various other things such as events in my daily life movie reviews, game reviews etc… and genuinely me ranting on about stuff.
